INTERIOR DESIGN INTERNSHIP 

‍Studio S II is seeking anInterior Design Intern to join our Brooklyn studio. This position is ideal for a Interior Architecture or Interior Design student or recent graduate with a strong design sensibility and interest in the intersection of architecture, interiors, furniture, and fabrication. Interns will work closely with the team on a range of projects, contributing to the development of immersive, detail-driven environments.

‍Responsibilities
- Assist the design team across all phases of projects, from concept through installation.
- Prepare presentation materials, including layouts, collages, and visual decks.
- Support sourcing efforts for furniture, materials, and finishes.
- Maintain organization of the sample library.
- Travel to NYC showrooms to source and pick up samples as needed.
- Assist with procurement, including tracking and organizing items.
- Input and maintain data for schedules.
- Assist with sending and receiving packages, and coordinating pickups.
- Provide on-site support during site visits and project installations.

‍Qualifications 
- Enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a BA or MA Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture program.
- Experience working on residential projects.
- Proficient in creating 2D plans, elevations, sections, and RCPs using AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with the D&D, 200 Lex, and NYC design showrooms.
- Basic understanding of material types and uses.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong visual and graphic sensibility.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Prior design internship or job experience strongly preferred

‍Software Requirements
- Strong proficiency in AutoCADStrong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- Proficiency in Rhino and/or SketchupProficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Experience with Studio Designer strongly preferred. Experience with Google Drive preferred.

‍Duration & Compensation
- Nov 1st, 2026 - March 1st, 2027 with potential to extend.
- 16 hrs per week.
- $20/hr.
- Must be available to work in-person.
