Weaving Sensation is a multisensory installation created by Studio S II in collaboration with Bond Hardware, Kidä, and Silence Please. Presented during Collectible Design Fair NYC (2025), the project merges piercing, sound, architectural intervention, and sculptural design into a charged, visceral spatial encounter. Studio S II reengineered Silence Please speakers into sculptural, tactile objects using silicone as the skin surrounding the sound elements, transforming the speakers into works that merge sensuality and structure. Kidä composed a therapeutic soundscape for the "Suspended Organs" speakers that wrapped the installation in ambient frequencies, grounding the body while heightening spatial awareness. Bond Hardware introduced a selection of industrial jewelry and a live piercing ritual, refining signature pieces such as the EXO Chair and debuting new collectible works.
Within the installation, piercing became a medium of spatial perception: the body as conduit, instrument, and space. Studio S II’s intervention extended sound into physical presence, collapsing distinctions between object and body, art and ritual. The result was an environment that explored thresholds, inside and outside, intimacy and structure, calm and sensation, inviting visitors to experience design as something felt, not just seen.
